Last night was fun: Hobbit and I stayed in and watched The Changeling and Tod Browning's Freaks (some spoilers at the bottom), both of which were superb. Makes up for the run of utter crap films I've seen lately.

Today is preparing for my research in progress talk that I have to give to the department (and a surgeon that I want to donate some pancreas to the Great Cause) tomorrow morning and cutting a proper stretch top block. I AM going to make a top with bishop sleeves if it kills me!

There are changes afoot. Something is deeply wrong with the world: all the intelligent folks are depressed or making revolutions in their lives or both. A lot of friends are moving away, one friend is critically ill. Interesting times.
