Survived the second driving lesson OK. The driving instructor (Lawd luv 'im) rather rashly took his life in his hands by making me drive home from Eastleigh. Now this journey involves a few BIG nasty roundabouts (including the M27 airport one of DOOOOM) and a lot of dual carriageway. I'm proud to say I not only made it home in one piece, but I actually enjoyed it a whole lot more than the going round and round housing estates forgetting which gear I'm in... and there are a lot fewer frolicking moggies on Thomas Lewis Way to give me a heart attack.

So. PHEW.

Also, have restored my PhD from the external hard drive backup and rewritten the abstract of my paper and saved it and I'm happy with it and WOO. I shall have crumpets as a reward.

Today is a bit blah otherwise, barring a sudden urge to buy the complete works of Ken Russell on DVD after putting up a still from Mahler (the conversion scene!) on the Movie Still Quiz on Farceborke. I remember loving Mahler and The Music Lovers, quite liking Gothic (mmm Julian Sands) but not being terribly fussed by Lair of the White Worm. Anyway, he's a local lad and deserves some support for that.

Crochet count = a paltry 60. In response to tlrmx.org, I think I might actually just turn into some mutant crochet Christo and just make a blanket large enough to wrap the Civic Centre.
