Ra-di-o.... ac-ti-vi-ty.... it's in the air for you and me

Got most of my poster done today; the layout is finished at any rate. Just needs figure legends and labels now. Working on a Bank Holiday shouldn't be allowed. Mind you if I'd not slacked so much the rest of the weekend I wouldn't have had to resort to such barbarism.

Also we finished The Hobbit's solar-powered theremin, which involved much soldering and swearing. It appears to be more of a Geiger counter for sunshine than any theremin I've seen before, crackling like it's been dropped in a pot of 125-I when you hold it out of the window or under a lightbulb. I want to decorate the housing (it's in an Altoids mint tin which seems a bit prosaic), but have been forbidden to cover it in shells, Old Gregg style.

Otherwise, it was a day of making cottage pie, eating cottage pie and having coffee way too late in the day.
