Aug. 29th, 2008 10:21 amYesterday was composed of frolicking with my nephews, attending a retirement lunch (one less great guy in medical laboratory science), picking up my poster and chinwagging with an old friend who works for the BBC. In the end I got a little down in the mouth about what I perceive as a worrying lack of objectivity and superfluity of politics in science, and a bunch of other stuff (globalisation, injustice, my friends being unhappy). But that's boring so *snip*.
Today I'm actually thinking about starting to write up.
Mostly I think that may be to get away from daytime TV and having to do laundry for the conference. Quite looking forward to staying in Keble though. Casually researching the architecture, I have a suspicion that it may have been designed as a portal for the Elder Gods. Must brush up on my Lovecraftian: Ragnarok or a more squamous version thereof would be a welcome distraction from Gastrointestinal Carcinogenesis 2008.
