Sep. 19th, 2008 09:27 amYesterday I spent most of the day nursing a titanic headache, but did at least manage to get my PCR materials ordered and labwork plan for the next two months written up. I also designed and made a seed bead necklace that used up some beads that I've been hoarding since I was 18. Not too shoddy.

Today I have a surprise invite to dine at The Athenaeum in Pall Mall. I have a real fondness for the place, which boasts a life-sized portrait of Darwin (a past member) and other luminaries in the lounge and a terrific library. I always feel like a bit of a fraud amongst all the Nobel prize-winners and professors, but a bit awestruck all the same. Plus they have a fabulous sweet trolley.
So I suppose I should get up, find a clean skirt and get my ass to London.
