Poshness

Yesterday was William Harvey Day at Bart's and The London Medical School, and came off without hitch. Poster presentation went well, lectures were interesting (well, maybe not for all!), the Academic Procession was well-attended and a welcome opportunity to take the mickey out of the Supervisor and the Warden in their respective gowns. St Luke's Tide service was in the Chapel of St Bartholomew The Less this year (something about someone called Skarlett Johnssasson or something filming an episode in the life of Anne Boleyn in St Barts the Great and getting in the way). Music was great (Byrd and Tallis), sermon bearable, church pretty, even if Rahere (deceased) did get his rose a little late. Dinner was in the conservatory at the Barbican centre, a kind of indoor tropical jungle crossed with a 60's tower block, with stunning views of the City.

I'm off to the Isle of Wight for a few days tomorrow, and I seem to have puchased some holographic silver cowboy boots (don't ask).

Hope all are well, toodlepip!
