Science, Beads, The Usual

I finished the green dangly necklace last night. I think it might need a couple of extra dangly bits in the lower bunch of them. The upper cluster makes them look a bit inadequate. What say ye?

Spent most of yesterday browsing the Affymetrix website; I was attempting to work out the basic protocol for gene expression profiling using their chip microarray system (check!) and to see if they had any pre-existing chips with stem cell-specific probe sets (um...). Some bits of their website may as well be in Chinese for all I can work out from it. My Quick Search for probes returned 40k results, which is getting on for all of the characterised proteins in the human genome!!

But now, I need more coffee, then I shall go and re-home my cells before they eat their flasks in protest at overcrowding.

Yeah, I think it would look more balanced with more dangly bits at the bottom. I'm very impressed (I tend to give up on these sort of things and throw beads around the room while having a tantrum).

I'm ok, but stressed out of my mind due to the house selling/buying hell (once we have exchanged I will be able to calm down). Everything feels like it is on hold till then :(
