Is it obvious by now that I may have bulk ordered enough green beads to coat the White House?
Bristol was lots of fun: managed to take in the wonderful city museum, Clifton Gorge, the Clifton Suspension Bridge exhibition (you know my feelings for Isambard, so I'll hold that commentary), the camera obscura and Giant's Cave, enough food to kill us at Giraffe (pretty good for a chain), a couple of METAAAAAAAL pubs (The Cavern and The Hatchet I think...), the Arnolfini (a lot of toss but some funky model railway where the tracks were made of records and the carriages were equipped with needles and amplifiers, "playing" the track as they darted round it*), the industrial thingys down at the docks and the Millennium plaza (where there are sinking dogs and shiny great spheres amongst other things). Not bad for half a Saturday and most of a Sunday.
