It's always a bad sign when your boots are so high that you have to get a taxi for what should be a 15 minute walk to support your mates last minute DJing thingy at your local.

So it's not entirely surprising that later in the evening I fell over my own feet, off the stage and crippled my hand. Off to casualty now.

What a twit.

yeah ta, my sis took me to RHCH. Iz borked :(
Fortunately small size and location meant that a cast wouldn't really be an advantage so i just got strapped up and told to come back in a fortnight

I think everyone had guessed that you'd broken it last night.

But if you don't have a cast we can't sign it or write rude things on it. How inconsiderate of them.

Well, rest it, let the Hobbit do the housework (ha!) and let me know if I can be of any use for fetching and carrying once you're back after Xmas.

Oh bugger. Wrist or hand? (not that it'll make much difference)

If you need us to get anything for you, give us a shout.

Yep, they wouldn't be able to do much with a cast for that. If they give you a fabric splint, try to get a second cover because it'll start smelling like a dead cat after a week or so.

(I broke my wrist when I was sixteen, and had a fabric splint for two months)

Also, proper break, hairline or greenstick?

...it's the teeniest hairline ever. I just have my fingers taped together with some padding. Think that's what they do for Boxer's fracture too.
