Despite not being allowed to enter for best costume (I won last year), I was going to forego putting in much effort on the costume front this year. However, following a conversation with
glummdead about bizarre Catholic icons in Malta, I decided to go as St Agatha this year. After all, nothing says Halloween like a wan lady in a corset with her severed boobs on a plate, amirite?

Anyway, here's the final result: quite pleased with it given I've done no sewing since last Halloween and designed and made the lot (including patterns and blancmange boobies) myself from scratch in about a fortnight! Did manage to chop the top of my left index finger off with a scalpel whilst making the halo though!
I am never wearing a corset again.

Great costume, v. impressed.
