Another Valentine's Day bit the dust with refreshingly little resistance: I feel very much the same as Charlie Brooker, who suggested an antidote celebration for today, but on reflection I think perhaps
mask_of_sanity's suggestion that it be made St Skeletor's Day instead might be a better idea.
In other news, I have submitted two abstracts and had them accepted (and published online!) for this stem cell meeting in Brussels, two days BEFORE the deadline. There's a first time for everything!

* I totally agree with the reviewer who said "...A little like liquid magic mushrooms. People do unusual things if they have more than 1 pint". Nevertheless, a tasty little beverage.
