Some you win, some you lose

Today I caught up with the work I'd scheduled, but as usual found a whole load of other unanticipated stuff that I have to do. Am still completely confused by OMIM, SwissProt/UniProt and NCBI Nucleotide, but making some headway. I think.
Some belongings of my late grandparents' that should have come to my siblings and I have just re-surfaced after having been hoarded by our (also now deceased) Uncle for 8 years. Not looking forward to having to sort that lot out. Some things are best off just let lie. All we really want is some photographs of our grandparents, and we have none. The only thing I'm bitter about is that the things of great sentimental value that N&G'dad always said would "come and live with us later" have all mysteriously gone walkabout, to be substituted by an embarrassing and unwanted small cash payment immediately after my Grandfather's death. Anyway, enough of that.
My giant bead loom also arrived, so I shall be spilling seed beads all over the floor with Gay Abandon later.
