gnommiWent to work to feed and photograph the latest batch of experimental cell cultures and reinvigorated the migraine with the power of fluorescence microscopy. Not such a good plan.
For some reason, after I left work and walked to Waterloo in the rain, the cold water on my face and scalp induced such a powerful feeling of euphoria that I detoured via Covent Garden to look in the bead shops, which was fun. Not least because the hanging rainbow strings of glass beads swirled and colour cycled at the edge of my vision. A bit like zorbing inside a kaleidoscope but with more head pain and grumpy Chinese shopkeepers.
Finished my latest piece of beadwork tonight: a loom-woven wrist cuff in warning-tape black and yellow diagonal stripes with a fringe of lampworked rubber duckies. Pics tomorrow if I remember.
