Given that I've just done the fourth 12hr day in a row, and things are going pretty well with the project, I think its about time I set down some other stuff I've done. Between you and me, Brother, there's not much of it.
Well, I've been to the ECS nominally Hawaiian-themed thing and got way too drunk, and bored programmers by talking pancreas at them. I've walked past the statue of Brunel on Temple Embankment each morning, wondering what he'd think of the London Eye, the Millenium Bridge, and other modern engineering that he might see from his perch on the Thames. Likewise, I've walked past the KCL War Studies department building on Surrey Street, marvelling at it's glorious biscuit-hued, over-wrought, goblin-covered facade; wondering who might have stayed in it, when it was a hotel back in 1901. I've decided to go to learn to fish properly, pet ferrets, ooh and aaah at guns and tsk and pff at toffs at a Game Fair at Broadlands House at the weekend. I've watched a rather spooky Japanese horror called Premonition, a rather frustrating British "romp" based on The Life and Opinions of Tristram Shandy, Gentleman (A Cock and Bull Story: the website says it all really), and not a lot else.
So yes, you are correct, I am a cliche of yer typical PhD student. So, in a fit of pique, I dedicate today to possibly the finest woman you could ever hope to enter into a violently passionate lesbian relationship with (barring Bai Ling, obviously):
JOAN CUSACK

Hear you guys have been burning up recently; woohoo love that global warming..actually it's probably not entirely that, but either way, get your pirate suits ready or temperatures will only keep on increasing.
Great new hair colour, BTW. Always fun to see how that changes.
