Ferrofluid is very interesting..never seen it before..The sculptures are great!
I had issues with their musical approach. The orthodox music on the video was, of course, terrible, but more importantly their fundamental approach to sound was missing all kinds of synasthetic possiblilties. This is exemplified by their use of metadata instead of realtime analysis of sounds (the delay in the magnetic reactions could easily be accounted for by a simple audio delay before the speakers). OK, I'll stop ranting now.
Talking of music, you may wanna grab the free mp3s of some old Noise/Girl stuff that I just uploaded to the Noise/Girl homepage-cum-mausoleum (google "noisegirl", should be the first hit).
10 year old original recordings: painstakingly REMASTERED!!! Sounds fantastic, even on mp3.
Please feel free to put them in your shared folders for emule or whatever, spread the love.
