I really should make myself some of these things. No more cold kidneys! JOY!

I keep meaning to make one of those, but my previous attempts at sewing tshirt fabric have put me off!

I'm lucky and have an overlocker... I wouldn't attempt it without one unless I had a sewing machine that does that funky stretch stitch thing

I think mine does a special stretch stitch, but everything still ends up a ruffly mess. What overlocker do you have? I've been considering getting one for a while.

it's ancient and made of STEEEEEEEEEEEEEEL
I got it from Read's in Shirley when it was still there. There is one in Winchester tho now, which does second hand sewing machines

I think mines a Frister, 3 thread and you can't disengage the cutting knife, which can be a real pain if you are overlocking something with a peculiar-shaped outline. My sister swears by her 4-thread overlocker, but I've never really missed the extra thread

Most of the modern ones are pretty reliable tho, think John Lewis do one
