Courtesy of
mikej and
queen_of_scum amongst others, I've discovered quite a few cool new things (well, to me) this week. In no particular order, I am loving:
1. Last.FM
2. Codex Seraphinianus
3. Waitrose Own Plain Belgian Chocolate with Fruit and Nuts
4. Venetian Snares
5. Listening to Lustmord in the dark
6. Re-reading Jung's Man And His Symbols and WH Hodgson's Carnacki The Ghost Finder (OK this doesn't count as a new discovery, but it's a thing I'm liking at the moment. OK? Good.)
Just thought I'd share!

Date: 2007-05-16 06:33 pm (UTC)HOWEVER AFTER HAVING LISTENED TO MY ENTIRE 50-HOUR MIKE OLDFIELD COLLECTION RIGHT THROUGH I PERSONALLY FIND MY FAVOURITE TRACK TO BE THE ALBUM VERSION OF "THE BELL" FROM TUBULAR BELLS 2 IN WHICH MR. ALAN RICKMAN ANNOUNCES THE INCREASINGLY SILLY INSTRUMENTS
YOU CAN HEAR EVERY CONSONANT AND VOWEL ENUNCIATED PERFECTLY
GRAND PIANO
REED AND PIPE ORGAN
GLOCKENSPIEL
BASS GUITAR
VOCAL CHORDS
TWO SLIGHTLY SAMPLED ELECTRIC GUITARS
DIGITAL SOUND PROCESSOR
THE VENETIAN EFFECT
AND... TUBULAR... BELLS
... BUT I DIGRESS
I HAVE ATTEMPTED RAPIDSHARE AND FOUND IT TO HAVE A 100 MB LIMIT, DITTO MEGAUPLOAD; I HAVE NO MSN ADDRESS TO SEND IT TO AND ANYWAY MSN'S FILE TRANSFER PROTOCOLS MAKE BABY CHARLES BABBAGE CRY; NO FURTHER WEBSPACE IS FORTHCOMING
I CONFESS THAT I AM OUT OF IDEAS
